The world is awash in neo DJs, producers, mixologists, controllerists, and all sorts of technology enabled neophytes who are inspiring the ire of long-time, tenured elder statesmen and stateswomen of the tech-driven music industry.
There is a disturbance in the Force, and there will always be these ebbs and flows in the preeminence of genres, trends, cycles, etc. It is the way of the Universe, and it's not all bad. In fact, it's a good thing. Imagine if there were no challenges to the established order of things; no discontent over mediocrity displacing painstaking work and artistry; no boredom and growing disinterest in what was once the new, the fresh and the exciting, but is now become banal. No one would be moved to be more innovative and creative.
So, instead of ruing the day, and complaining like whiny bichez, artists should step their game up, and revel in the creative freedom and cloud of inspiration in The Underground. Your work will surface again, the trend will be reset, and the cycle will continue.
